Madgaon Express enjoying a steady run at the box office. On Day 4, Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut grossed ₹2.60 crore, as reported by Commercial. So far, this comedy-drama has grossed a total of ₹9.65 crore. Madgaon Express revolves around the story of three childhood friends who embark on a beach holiday to Goa, but their journey takes an unexpected turn. The film features Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu and Avinash Tiwary in the lead roles. Nora Fatehi, Chhaya Kadam and Remo D’Souza also play pivotal roles in the film.
On Monday, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted a note on X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the box office report of the opening weekend Madgaon Express. He wrote, “Madgaon Express is fair on opening weekend, but there was room to break out on day 3 (sun) *outside* #Mumbai circuit… The Monday (#Holi) holiday should be useful, especially from 2pm/3pm… Fri 1.63 cr, Sat 2.72 cr, Sun 2.81 cr. Total: ₹7.16 cr. #Indianbusiness. #Theatrebox. There was no #Buy1Get1 ticket offer on Sunday.”
“Madgaon Express should remain stable from Tuesday, after the long weekend… The Good Friday holiday should witness another spike in numbers, although it faces #Crewwhich gives off a good buzz,” added Taran Adarsh .

For his WhatsNew2Day review, film critic Saibal Chatterjee Madgaon Express a 3 out of 5 stars and said: “Madgaon Express is a romp that never seems to outstay its welcome, with even the post-climactic scenes – they interrupt the credits in a new, skewed way – delivering loads of surprises and forcing the audience to keep waiting until it’s all done and dusted .”
Saibal Chatterjee continued, “Apart from a script that never stops delivering generous doses of hilarity, the comic timing achieved by the three actors gives the riotous farce its vibrancy. Each of the three protagonists successfully uses his own style, appropriate for the character he plays. In the guise of the stoic skeptic, Avinash Tiwari radiates strength and solidity and conveys cheerfulness with his measured underplay.”
