A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing his partner to death in a domestic violence murder.
Jeremaia Tuwai, 21, allegedly murdered his 21-year-old girlfriend inside an apartment on the Great Western Highway in Kingswood, in Sydney’s west, at about 1.40pm on Monday before fleeing the scene.
Emergency services arrived at the unit, where they found the woman with two stab wounds to the chest.
Despite paramedics’ efforts to save her, she died at the scene.
Police launched a pursuit before arresting Tuwai at around 7.10pm on Derby Street, Penrith, without incident.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with murder and domestic violence.
The 21-year-old was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
