A man who made a Taylor Swift-inspired birthday cake for his niece has been fiercely criticized online for the “scary” creation, with social media users joking that he will “need therapy” after seeing it.
UK-based Keith Scovell recently left the Internet in suspense after posting photos to Facebook of the rather interesting dessert he had created for his niece’s 18th birthday celebration.
She baked a cake that was meant to look like pop sensation Taylor, 34, but many people online felt it looked nothing like her.
In fact, some viewers joked that the cake looked more like something out of a horror movie, calling it “scary” and “nightmare-inducing.”
Keith, who has a Facebook account dedicated to his creations called Kakes by Keith, shared a series of snaps of the cake with the Rate My Plate group earlier this week.

UK-based Keith Scovell recently left the Internet in shambles after uploading some images to Facebook of a rather interesting dessert he had created for his niece’s 18th birthday celebration.
She wrote: ‘I made my Taylor Swift cake for my niece’s birthday’ and it immediately went viral.
The round, bright pink cake was made to look like a face, with eyes, nose and mouth drawn on with icing.
But the eyes were uneven and looked in different directions, while the nose was just two small black lines.
The bright red mouth was wide open and Keith used what appeared to be white Tic Tacs for his teeth.
Brown licorice was scattered haphazardly around the cake for her hair, while Keith placed small red dots on either side of her face to resemble the Cruel Summer singer’s rosy cheeks.
It also included pieces of sponge shaped like fingers, as well as one that looked like a fake microphone.
“I really hope you’re setting aside funds to support all the future therapy your niece will need,” one person joked in the comments section.
“If this is meant to be realistic… It’s a little scary,” someone else wrote.

In the end, Keith added in the comments section that his niece “loved it.”
Another user added: “Oh what nightmares he must have had.”
“It’s scary,” read a fourth comment, while a fifth said: “That’s one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen in my life.” Nightmare stuff right there.

‘Is that a cake? I was sure it was a photo of her on stage. You’ve done it!’ someone else said comically.
“I can definitely see the resemblance, well done Keith,” another user added, while another person commented: “The resemblance is uncanny.”
