When Kate and Lila Moss hit the beach in Formentera on Sunday, their physical similarities were obvious.
The 50-year-old supermodel showed off her incredible figure in a snake-print bikini as she lounged on the beach with her daughter Lila Moss.
As the 21-year-old basked in the Spanish sunshine, she looked every bit the image of her 1990s mother.
It’s not just physical features that Lila, who also has a successful modeling career, has inherited from her mother, but she has also been inspired by Kate’s fashion.

Underneath she wore a skin-colored, tight bodysuit to preserve her modesty and leave her legs completely exposed.
It echoed a look previously worn by Kate in 2013 when she walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week with Marc Jacobs.
Arriving in the courtyard of the Royal Palace, the mother-of-one sported an equally sheer dress, but unlike Lila, she skipped the bodysuit underneath.
Lila recalled her mother again last year at the British Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The sheer dress is widely recognized as one of Kate’s most celebrated looks, but at the time, the supermodel had no idea it was see-through.

Meanwhile, talking to British Vogue Speaking about her own outfit for the event, Lila explained: ‘I love feeling elegant, chic and sexy, and Nensi’s designs are the perfect balance of all these vibes, so I feel confident.’
‘For hair, I wanted something simple. I found a reference on Pinterest of my mother wearing a loose bun for a Donna Karan show in 1993.’
Designer Nensi added: ‘The inspiration for this look came from Liza Bruce’s iconic sheer slip dress worn by Kate in 1993. Lila is the perfect example of a young woman who isn’t afraid to make her own rules.’
Perhaps Lila’s desire to recreate her mother’s outfits over the years is a result of their close bond.

Speaking about growing up in the spotlight, Lila confessed that she was surprised by the attention surrounding her mother.

She explained: ‘I went to high school and everyone was like, “Oh, your mum is Kate Moss!” You don’t really have a filter when you’re that young and I was like, “How do you know who she is? She’s old! She’s old and boring!”
Adding more about her relationship with her mother, Lila told the fashion bible: ‘I was quite protective of my mother.
“All my mom’s friends say I was really scary as a kid. I was very serious, but I also imitated her. She always had her head down and wouldn’t look at the camera, so I always had my head down and wouldn’t look at the camera. I still do that.”
However, Lila revealed that over time she realized how influential her mother is in the fashion world: “In the last three or four years, I realized that her style is really cool. I have to admit that now.”
The teenager went on to point out that while she steals Kate’s Saint Laurent coats and Chanel bags, her supermodel mother often steals her Adidas tracksuits.
Lila explained: “She doesn’t have a good selection of activewear. She only has pajamas. She would probably hate me saying that. She doesn’t want anyone to know she wears activewear!”

Lila landed her first modeling job at age 15 with a Marc Jacobs Beauty campaign, being just a year older than her mother when she entered the business.
Despite her mother being one of the most famous models in the industry, Lila revealed that Kate was keen to dissuade her from following in her footsteps.
“My mother always discouraged me from taking up modeling,” Lila said. “She always told me, ‘If you want to do it, you can do it, but I don’t recommend it.'”
Despite her mother’s fears, Lila insisted she is not anxious that success as a model could bring her the fame her parents tried to shield her from.
She reflected: “Not really. I’ve seen it first hand so I’m much more able to cope. I’ve had to say no to people, but I’m always nice!”
Lila’s father is journalist Jefferson Hack, with whom Kate had a relationship in the early 2000s.
Jefferson and Kate, who dated from 2001 to 2004, and Lila was born in 2002, have a friendly relationship and made sure their daughter spent a regular amount of time with each of them throughout her childhood.
