Another festival-goer was seriously injured in the running of the bulls and 12 others suffered minor injuries.
The incident occurred during an event in Tordesillas, Valladolid, where locals release a single bull to run through the town before being driven to a meadow.
The festival, known as Toro de la Peña, or Toro de la Virgen, has been celebrated for centuries and is traditionally a way for young people to test their courage.
It used to end with the bull being speared to death, but this was stopped in 2016 after protests from animal rights groups.
