Happy birthday, Crown Princess Victoria! The 47-year-old Swedish royal gives her lookalike daughter Princess Estelle a sweet kiss on the forehead as the family attends a lavish celebration at Solliden Palace

Crown Princess Victoria was joined by the entire Swedish royal family on Sunday for her 47th birthday celebrations.

The princess, heir apparent to the Swedish throne as the eldest daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf, opened her lavish celebrations at Solliden Palace on Öland.

She was accompanied by numerous high-profile royals, including her parents King and Queen Silvia, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia and their children.

The event allowed Victoria and her daughter, Princess Estelle, to show off their sweet bond, as Victoria was seen giving her a loving kiss on the cheek.

Estelle, 12, was also seen whispering something in her mother’s ear, which made her burst out laughing.

Victoria and Estelle were a dead ringer for each other in matching floral dresses.

Victoria wore a stunning Saloni summer dress, featuring a patchwork pattern and black button detailing, while a matching belt emphasised her figure.

She added a silver horseshoe necklace as an accessory, as well as teardrop-shaped diamond earrings with five added jewels.

Her husband Daniel opted to match her look with a bright blue suit, complementing the colors of the dress his wife wore on her birthday.

The couple’s youngest son, eight-year-old Prince Oscar, wore a matching white suit to Prince Gabriel, Carl Philip and Sofia’s middle son. The boys made sure to look smart but comfortable as they wore trainers.

The royal mother of two appeared to radiate joy as she waved to the crowd.

The Duchess of Västergötland was clearly in a very good mood for her birthday celebrations as the sun was shining.

It was a rare sight to see all of the Swedish royals in one place, with Carl Philip and Sofia bringing their sons Prince Alexander, Prince Julian and Prince Gabriel, while Princess Madeleine and her husband Chris O’Neill were joined by Princess Leonore, Princess Adrienne and Prince Nicholas.

The celebrations included public singing in his honour, including a song by the children’s choir of the Borgholm Cultural School, which was even joined in by the King.

Victoria then joined a horse-drawn procession to the castle ruins, where her birthday concert will be held tonight.

Before boarding the carriage, however, he greeted and spoke to the huge crowd that had gathered, clearly grateful and moved by all the tributes.

Every year the princess presents the Victoria Award, which this year was won by volleyball player Isabell Haak.

“It’s a real honour to receive this prestigious award. I’m a bit surprised, but at the same time it’s great fun that volleyball, which is a small sport in Sweden, receives this recognition,” Haak said in a press release.

The following days are celebrated in his name – known as the “Victory Days” – and are celebrated throughout the country.

Last month, Princess Victoria and Estelle looked identical to each other again as they wore traditional dresses for Sweden’s National Day.

Sweden’s National Day, celebrated annually on 6 June, commemorates Gustav Vasa’s accession to the throne in 1523, making Sweden an independent country free from the Danish-ruled Kalmar Union.

Although June 6 has been a public holiday since 2005, Swedes have been celebrating it for much longer.

While the male royals wore smart blue suits and ties, Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Estelle and Princess Sofia shined in the traditional ‘Sverigedräkten’ folk dress.

The garment has long been worn by women in the royal family at public events.
