A man was allegedly assaulted and tortured with a golf club during a 24-hour ordeal that left him with a broken jaw and ribs.
Emergency services were called to a home on Rawson Road, Guildford in Sydney about 4.55pm on Sunday after reports of an assault.
Police confirmed that officers found a 46-year-old man at the property who had multiple injuries to his face and chest.
After being treated at the scene by paramedics, the 46-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital after the blunt force trauma he suffered left him in a serious condition.

A crime scene has been established and a 62-year-old man has been arrested and is assisting police with their inquiries.
