A recent interview by Donald Trump on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast resulted in a memorable rebuttal to the Washington Post.
“So, Washington Post, here’s my comment,” host Will Compton said in a self-recorded video before moving the phone to his butt and audibly passing gas.
Compton and his former Tennessee Titans teammate Taylor Lewan interviewed Trump about his history with football, which he said he played at the New York Military Academy (NYMA).
Trump, who has criticized the NFL’s efforts to reduce concussions, admitted that he didn’t like playing football because of the physical aspect, in addition to a few other reasons.
“I could catch the ball well, but I didn’t particularly like having a guy who was lifting weights all day and who came from a bad neighborhood,” Trump said. “Yeah, and he saw me and they were tackling hard.”

Trump, originally from the affluent Jamaica Estates neighborhood in Queens, has since come under fire for the comment described by online critics as a “racist dog whistle.”
So when the Washington Post reached out to Bussin With the Boys for comment, Compton had a feeling the story might portray himself, Lewan and Trump in a negative light. Only instead of responding directly to the newspaper, he simply posted a video of his own photo on social media.
“Alright, as you know, our last episode of Bussin’ With The Boys, we had about Donald Trump,” Compton said, according to AwfulAnncing.com.
“We knew there would be a reaction,” he continued. ‘Good, bad’, the media would have reacted. We are having our first meeting with the media. The Washington Post requested comment on a comment made during the episode that is gaining attention online, including from Trump’s opponent in the presidential race.
Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ social media accounts shared a clip of the interview online.
“The comment that (The Washington Post) is referring to, that they want to comment on, is part of the episode where we’re talking about ball and how Trump used to play tight end,” Compton said. “I would have locked him up. And he basically makes the comment, “I wouldn’t want to get hit,” or “I wouldn’t want to get hit by someone who’s been lifting weights all day and comes from a bad neighborhood.” Taylor and I laugh. They want our comment.’
The 78-year-old recently attended a college football game between Alabama and Georgia.
And why did the Washington Post want Compton’s comment?
‘The question is ‘Why did we find it funny?’ said. ‘You know what they want to do with this thing. You already know what kind of picture they want to paint. You know what kind of box they want to put us in. You know his take on this whole question by doing that.
Despite his objection to the question, Compton actually gave an answer.
“Number one, I thought it was funny because Trump is sitting there admitting that he’s not built for the A gap, nor is he a tight end who was made to catch a slant over the middle just to get his vertebrae back, his L4 and L5. , compressed by a middle linebacker who will probably play at Nebraska and possibly 10 years in the NFL,” Compton said.
‘But just by knowing it, you know the direction they want to take with this as they write whatever article they’re trying to write.
“And they asked if Will or Taylor could comment on why we thought it was funny. So I thought, ‘Well, I’ll tell them publicly about my comment.’
That’s when Compton moved the phone toward his butt because of audible flatulence.
