Police have released lurid CCTV footage of the last time a man was seen missing from a popular tourist town, while a woman believed to have spoken to him on the day he went missing was urged to come forward.

Edan Huntington was seen on camera getting out of a gray 2013 Ford Territory in Montville, on the inland Sunshine Coast, late last January.

The barefoot man was wearing a bright blue T-shirt with black shorts and a white cap when he entered a home.

The 28-year-old was also seen earlier in the day walking cautiously out of the house with a cigarette and a black backpack.

In the vision, Mr. Huntington looks out over the side yard before putting a cell phone to his ear.

He was visiting his family at the time, but left unexpectedly on January 18. 7News informed.

It is understood that he tried to call paramedics at the same time, but his phone has since been turned off.

Meanwhile, police are urging a woman in her 30s to 40s with ‘long dark hair’ who may have seen or talked to the missing man after 4am on the day he went missing to come forward.

The woman, who was wearing a white shirt with maroon and purple shorts and carrying a black bag, was seen within 100 yards of Mr. Huntington.

The man’s vehicle with NSW registration CQG59F was seen parked in the middle of Main Street near the Hoffman Close intersection before it drove towards Mapleton.
