Country star Brad Paisley’s wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, thanked her fans for the outpouring of well wishes and opened up about her recovery from surgery after undergoing a laryngeal nerve procedure to correct ongoing problems with her vocal cords.

Kimberly had already spoken openly about her health issues, as she admitted that she lost her voice almost two years ago while she was in stage in its annual Alzheimer’s fundraiser in Nashville.

Just days ago, the 52-year-old Father Of The Bride actress revealed that she underwent a lengthy surgery, said to last between five and nine hours, and made sure to let her fans know that she was in good spirits following the procedure.

After a successful surgery, the wife of the creator of the hit Remind Me now wants to give a special shout out to her fans who supported her amidst her health problems.

She was all smiles as she took to social media to express her gratitude for “all the love” she received from fans ahead of her surgery.

In a post shared on Instagram, Kimberly looked as vibrant as ever as she donned a gorgeous blue sweater, a straw hat, and a pair of black sunglasses.

The Hollywood heavyweight wore a scarf tied around his neck covering his scar.

In the caption, she admitted she was doing “really well” and gushed about her followers.

The actress said: ‘Thank you so much for all the love and support after my last post. I was reminded of the power of authenticity, vulnerability and hope. I feel validated and seen and increasingly grateful. I read and responded to as many comments as I could and I keep going! Thank you. I see you too.

“My recovery is going well and I feel great. Much love and gratitude, Kim.”

Over the weekend, she posted a photo of herself in the hospital after the procedure and her scar, which she had drawn over to look like a smiley face.

The actress admitted that she has had a “rough” couple of years and that her voice never fully returned during this time.

‘It’s been a tough couple of years, but we’ve finally got to the bottom of it.

“I have a damaged laryngeal nerve. I tried everything I could to heal it (thanks, but don’t give me any advice!). I was finally able to have the surgery this week,” said the actress, who lives in Nashville.

After a ‘very ugly scar’ along her neck, Kimberly said she now sounded ‘a lot better’.

“I haven’t wanted to share much about this until now because I felt too vulnerable. I used to take for granted my ability to ‘use my voice’ – for my career, for a good cause, for a well-timed joke, to express myself, to participate in a loud dinner party,” she shared.

“Instead, I’ve been the quietest person in the room. I’ve felt docile. New people I’ve met thought I was shy or reserved. I’ve felt trapped in my body.”

Kimberly said she has done “all kinds of training” and that, despite her moments of “embarrassment and self-loathing,” she has received support from friends, family and medical staff.

The mother-of-one then detailed what her surgery entailed, sharing that she was awake during the three-hour procedure to “fill out my paralyzed vocal cord so it would play the other one.”

“I saw a lot of what happened on a screen above my head and all I can say is that modern medicine is miraculous,” Kimberly joked.

Although she has been unable to speak properly for the past two years, the actress said she has found her voice in other ways.

“I have healed old emotional wounds. I have learned the strength and beauty of silence. I have become a serious meditator. I lift over 100 pounds. I take better care of my body. I manage stress. I dissolve shame. I feel more complete, empowered and joyful,” she said.
