CNN anchor Jake Tapper seemed stunned after hearing that the early election results in Georgia favor Donald Trump.

After CNN political director David Chalian informed Tapper that independents in Georgia favored Trump 54 percent to 43 percent, the host was surprised.

Four years ago, the exit poll showed Joe Biden leading Trump by nine points among independents. Now, preliminary results show Trump leading independents in the Peach State by 11 points.

This time that represents a 20-point swing in Trump’s favor.

‘Wow!’ -exclaimed Tapper-.

Jake Tapper was surprised to hear that Donald Trump was emerging early among Georgia independent voters.

“That independent turn is crazy,” he said.

“Some headwinds for Harris in these exit polls,” he continued.

Notably, President Biden handed Georgia to Democrats for the first time in a presidential election since 1992, when Bill Clinton won.

Tapper’s co-host Chris Wallace was also stunned by Georgia’s results.

“I’m trying to figure out why,” Wallace said, adding that he didn’t know “how to explain it.”

Still, many of the votes have not yet been counted.

Early totals show Trump has an early lead.

However, bomb threats throughout the Atlanta area have delayed the closing of polling places, meaning the count will be delayed.

Fulton and DeKalb counties were hit by bomb threats, according to local authorities.

Earlier in the day, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Russians were involved in unsubstantiated bomb threats at voting sites that forced them to close while the threats were investigated.

This is breaking news and will continue to be updated.
