A New Jersey child magician was arrested on pornography charges and his angry parents demanded his ex-wife-in-law resign for allegedly knowing about it.
Scott Morley was the owner of Morley’s Magic Theater in Butler, New Jersey, before he was arrested on May 15.
The former magician was accused of having photographs of child sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police found the disturbing images on his computer and discovered a pair of girl’s underwear inside his home.
Morley’s ex-wife, Britni Morley, now faces lawsuits from seven local parents who want her to resign from her positions on Butler City Council.
Scott Morley performed at Morley’s Magic Theater in Butler, New Jersey, before being arrested on May 15.
The parents accuse her of knowing about her husband’s alleged crimes, according to the New York Post.
Morley, 48, was known as “Morley the Wizard.” He worked children’s parties throughout the tri-state area.
They also owned a magic shop, Morley’s Magic Shop, from 2014 onwards, which offered after-school magic and puppet-making programs and workshops.
The Morleys performed alongside their two young daughters as an “act” until late last year.

An arrest affidavit states that Morley told police he had “approximately 50 questionable images” on his phone, but several more on other devices.
Disturbingly, he told police officers that he “preferred young people.”
The affidavit also states that he allegedly admitted to using the underwear, which was first found by the witness and later confiscated during a search warrant at Morley’s home, and the explicit images for self-gratification.
Morley also allegedly confessed to investigators that he had been collecting child pornography since 1996.
Scott and Britni separated in February and filed for divorce in March, just a month before an alleged witness came forward in April.
Witness, who was hired to paint the theater inside Morley’s Magic Shop, completed the work in 2022.
However, at some point during the project, the worker found a bag containing the girls’ underwear and several USB flash drives, according to an arrest affidavit.
The witness said Morley grabbed a hammer and destroyed the USB drives at that time, which Morley later admitted during police questioning.
It is unclear why it took so long for the witness to come forward with the allegations.
Butler’s parents have accused Britni of knowing about her husband’s alleged disturbing behavior.
The furious parents plan to speak out against Britni on June 18, at the next Butler board meeting, and demand her resignation.
“My kids attended the delivery shows and we were tricked by Britni, who served our kids on a platter for Scott’s fantasies,” another mother told The Post.
‘I am disgusted, shocked, saddened and angry. It was only thanks to his wife that I entrusted my daughter and son to them.
Another parent expressed concern that Morley might even have photographs of his own children and others in the community.
“She’s still on the board and still has access to the kids,” the mother said. “I’m not sure why she hasn’t been charged.”

“Finding out Scott and his sick secrets was heartbreaking,” said mother Candida Santee.
“I think many of us are very distressed by Britni and Scott’s actions and the lack of empathy towards the families.”
Britni’s divorce attorney, Andrew DeLaney, said his client cooperated fully throughout the investigation.
“Any suggestion of wrongdoing on his part is baseless, repugnant and ultimately destructive to the criminal justice process,” he said. “We hope to finalize the divorce so that my client can focus on raising her two children and supporting them financially and emotionally.”
Butler’s parents have accused Britni of knowing about her husband’s alleged disturbing behavior.
Morley was released without bail. He is prohibited from using the Internet and is not allowed to have any contact with minors.
His lawyer, Robert Bianchi, said his “client maintains his innocence and we are satisfied that the court saw fit to release him despite the prosecutor’s objections.”
