Channel Seven news presenter Rebecca Maddern is currently enjoying a holiday in London amid rumours that she is concerned a newly hired journalist is set to replace her.

On Tuesday, the glamorous presenter, 47, shared some very relaxed holiday snaps on Instagram with her husband and daughter as they attended a family wedding.

The Geelong-born stunner looked like she didn’t have a care in the world as she laughed with her loved ones in the photographs.

A sweet snap captured Rebecca with husband Josh Miller and daughter Ruby, 10, all posing beautifully at the wedding reception’s outdoor venue.

Maddern showed off her incredible style in an elegant white blouse paired with a shiny gold skirt as she looked her best alongside her loved ones.

Another photo captured a beaming Maddern looking in high spirits as she attended a wedding party with her family.

She captioned the snaps with a heartfelt caption: “Pre-wedding cocktail party…gorgeous! Can’t wait for you to walk down the aisle.”

Her overseas holiday comes amid reports that the arrival of former ABC television presenter Karina Carvalho at Channel Seven’s Melbourne offices has upset the network’s stars, including respected news and sports presenter Maddern.

Channel Seven news presenter Rebecca Maddern is currently on holiday in London with her husband and daughter, who are attending a family wedding.

Seven sources told Daily Mail Australia that the veteran presenter has been feeling nervous about her role at the network following the recent hiring of Carvalho, 43, and the network’s axing of dozens of staff across the country.

This weekend, Cavalho filled in for Maddern’s regular nightly news anchor role alongside Mike Amor after she flew overseas for a family wedding; Maddern is expected to be off the air until September.

Meanwhile, before her departure, sources close to the show said Maddern was furious upon arriving at the broadcaster’s Docklands studios only to discover Cavalho had already made pre-recordings which she had hoped to complete.

“Some staff members believe Karina was brought in to replace Bec,” a source told Daily Mail Australia, noting that Maddern had been “very vocal” in defending her place in the newsroom lately.

But Seven bosses hit back, arguing that Maddern was too valuable for the network’s news and sports divisions, and that the station needed more senior local presenters.

Maddern has a long-term contract and is highly valued by the station, the sources insisted.

Behind the scenes, Maddern is understood to be supported by her loyal colleagues, who have been helping her navigate this complicated new dynamic.
