Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in the country, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party, saying Hindus will not remain in the Assam Congress in 2026.
He said, “By 2026, there will be no Hindus in the Assam Congress and by 2032, almost all Muslims will leave the Congress. We will open a branch in Rajiv Bhawan as Mahanagar BJP. Many Congress leaders will join the BJP tomorrow. “
The Assam Chief Minister’s statement was made when he visited the state BJP headquarters in Guwahati on Saturday and attended a crucial meeting to take stock of preparations for the Lok Sabha polls.
“A meeting of the Prabharis of 126 constituencies was held at the state headquarters of the BJP in Guwahati. Three Congress members joined the BJP on Saturday. Others will join the BJP on Sunday. I am going to Majuli and my election campaign will be in Majuli on April 1 with a cycling rally,” said Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Speaking about the welfare of the Muslim society in the state, the Assam Chief Minister said, “I am trying to work for the reformation of their society. Many Muslim youth support me as you can see on Facebook and they all welcome this. Nobody is against that. It.”
On the other hand, the Assam Chief Minister, speaking about the Jorhat parliamentary constituency, said that the BJP will win the Jorhat seat. “A section is trying to create an atmosphere against me, but the reality on the ground is different,” he added.
“Why two right and left hands of the Congress candidate (Gaurav Gogoi) have left the party and joined the BJP because they know there is no chance of winning,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
He stated that the political parties are among the people and the political parties should seek their blessings.
“The BJP will take the lead in 105 of the 126 constituencies in the state. I am confident that people will vote for us because of the development work being done by the government,” the CM added.
