Brittany Mahomes has all but confirmed her support for Donald Trump in this year’s election by liking more Instagram posts supporting the Republican party.
Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick and close friends with Taylor Swift, posted photos Wednesday promoting Chiefs merchandise for the new NFL season.
And in the comments below, he risked further controversy when he liked a follower’s reply that read: “TRUMP-VANCE 2024.”
She also liked another message of support after sparking outrage for initially liking a Trump post about the November election.
“Glad to see you’re not giving up,” read the comment she liked. “We are all entitled to our own opinions and we shouldn’t be forced to submit.”

Mahomes and Taylor Swift have formed a close friendship over the past 12 months.
But many other comments on her post came from Democratic supporters, with many calling for a Kamala Harris victory or predicting a “Blue Party landslide.”
Earlier this week, Mahomes, a pregnant mother of two, reposted a comment from preacher and author Shane Pruitt that appeared to be a response to the backlash against her.
“Contrary to the tone of the world today…,” the message begins. “You can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have different opinions and still be kind.”
But Mahomes’ political views appear to put her at odds with Swift, who is dating Patrick’s Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce.
The two couples are spending time together over the weekend with Swift back in the States after four months of touring Europe.
In a 2019 interview with The Guardian, Swift said she supported Hillary Clinton over Trump in the 2016 election and accused Trump of treating the presidency like “an autocracy.”
Chiefs quarterback Patrick has never revealed which party he supports and told TIME magazine he has no plans to get involved in politics.
“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” he said.

“I want people to use their voice, believe who they believe. I want them to do their research.”
The Chiefs have been invited to the White House by President Biden for the past two years to commemorate their Super Bowl victories in 2023 and 2024.
Mahomes and his teammates had been invited to the White House by Trump after Super Bowl LIV but did not attend due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both Brittany Mahomes and Swift are expected to play in the Chiefs’ first game of the new NFL season next Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.
