A Sydney teacher has been charged with having sex with a 17-year-old student.
Monique Nguyen, 28, a music teacher from the northwest part of the city, was arrested by detectives in late May.
Police allege she had sex with a 17-year-old student in mid-April in Baulkham Hills, the suburb where she lives. The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Nguyen was released on bail after her arrest and did not have to appear before a magistrate when her case was mentioned in court on Thursday.
His case will be heard again in Parramatta Local Court next month.
