Banker Jonathan Kaye's wealthy Brooklyn neighborhood explodes after viral punch: "When are they going to come arrest him?"

A wealthy Brooklyn neighborhood erupted in fury after a local investment banker was filmed punching a woman at a parade.

Angry Park Slope locals criticized Jonathan Kaye, 52, for Saturday’s attack at the Brooklyn Pride parade, images of which have spread across the Internet.

A woman who lives nearby said: ‘I can’t believe this is in my neighborhood! When are they going to come arrest him?

She spoke as she put up a sign shaming her actions, complete with Kaye’s phone number and the full address of her luxurious $4 million brownstone.

Another caller Christine Doyle says Kaye should be banned from the area in a no-holds-barred attack on her character.

She said: “Everyone else here says hello to their neighbours,” she told DailyMail.com.

‘They don’t say anything. They are really insular.

‘We all know each other. But these guys have never been friendly.

‘They never care when you tell them something. They think they are above everything.

‘He leaves in his big black car at 6am every morning. Whatever he does, I have always said it is the work of the devil.

When asked what he would say to Kaye, Doyle added: “Please leave this neighborhood because men who beat women are not welcome here.”

Doyle says Kaye and his wife previously angered neighbors with noisy construction work, and that the couple owned several apartments on the street that they rented.

She added: ‘You know, it’s that simple and you will be rejected and you already are. You don’t care if it will become extraordinary in the future. And I also can’t wait to help with this lawsuit and find the right attorney to sue him and take over these two brownstones. Maybe we’ll settle in with someone decent.

Kaye was recorded throwing a violent direct punch at the unnamed woman during the Park Slope Pride Parade on Saturday. The woman is seen falling to the ground from the force of the punch. It is unclear what sparked the confrontation.

Kaye works as a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, a leading investment bank with offices in Midtown Manhattan. The company has launched an investigation into the incident, a spokesperson previously confirmed to DailyMail.com.

Kaye, who lives with his wife, owns several properties on the street, which he rents out to neighbors.

One said she was “shocked” when she saw the footage this morning, adding that the father-of-three always seemed “normal” although he normally spoke to his wife.

Another neighbor described scenes of chaos on the normally quiet street last night, as the victim’s friends ran around shouting that Kaye had assaulted a woman.

Kaye had barricaded himself in his home on Monday morning, but an unknown man wearing a hoodie and sunglasses crept onto the property.

He said he didn’t live there, but didn’t say what he was doing.

Neighbors yelled at Kaye’s children when they came through the front door.

They were told that their father was “disgusting” and demanded that they leave.

Kaye is Managing Partner and Head of Business Services at Moelis.

In his current role, he oversees 10 verticals within Moelis’ Business Services faction, managing “a dedicated team of bankers and… an extensive network of relationships with both strategic companies and private equity investors,” according to his profile on the Moelis website.

The video shows him launching a violent direct punch at the unnamed woman in Brooklyn, where she lives in a $4 million, four-bedroom townhouse in expensive Park Slope.

The woman is then thrown to the ground by the force of the punch, while a bystander runs unsuccessfully to her aid.

Others watching are heard calling Kaye an “asshole” and telling him to “fuck off,” briefly gaining his attention before he abruptly walks away.

Meanwhile, the footage is brief and shaky, but includes a moment where Kaye turns to the camera after knocking the woman to the ground.

Kaye walks away, holding a bag in one hand, a wet spot on the back of her jacket.

In a clip containing a caption superimposed on the footage, one user wrote: “This guy punched me in the face today and broke my nose.” (He also) broke my friend’s arm (sic)… Can anyone find him?’

A spokesperson for his employer confirmed to DailyMail.com that Kaye is the man seen in the viral video and said it has already launched an investigation.

“We have become aware that one of our employees was involved in a serious incident in Brooklyn on June 8,” a representative for Moelis said, as the 12-second clip continues to gain traction online.

“We take this matter very seriously and are conducting an investigation,” he added.

The context of the fight is still unclear.
