A pair of Australian real estate agents have amused buyers with the action movie-inspired video they filmed in a bid to sell a family home.
Aaron Murray and John McGregor of 4one4 Property Co. in Hobart were inspired by the “military bunker” facade of the New Norfolk home they’re selling, so they decided to have a little fun with it.
The duo recreated a scene from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1980s film Predator to pique the interest of potential buyers.
Aaron told FEMAIL that he and his team weren’t sure people would understand the reference. However, many enjoyed the clip despite others calling it “a little embarrassing.”
‘Sometimes our industry is not very interesting. “You see most officers in black and blue suits and a white shirt, so it’s good to try something a little different,” he said.

“The world is much more tech-focused and online, so we have to try to have a little bit of fun with different videos, get that little extra click or that little fun twist to grab the consumer’s attention a little more than the average.” .
The promotional video for the three-bedroom house was a shot-for-shot remake of the introduction in Predator, showing John punching a cigar while flying to the office in a CGI helicopter.
John receives a fake briefing for a “special operation” before Aaron goes over the specifications of the military-inspired platform using lines and dialogue from the famous scene.
“I understand why you brought us in, this one has huge potential to explode,” John said earlier.
“When we sat down with our media team to talk about what we wanted to do with the process, we said, ‘Well, it looks like a bunker to us,'” Aaron said.

The clip then cuts to an aerial shot of the street and the house catches fire in a fake explosion.
Aaron said it took him between five and eight hours to write the script and film the scenes.
“We weren’t sure, we weren’t sure that everyone was getting the referrals,” he said.
‘There have been some queries that arose from the video alone. And then obviously on our social media posts people really like it or think it’s quite embarrassing.”
Viewers loved the fun recreation, calling it “epic,” “iconic” and “amazing.”

This isn’t the first time the real estate team has been creative with their marketing techniques.
They previously made a James Bond-inspired marketing video and for a house that was within walking distance of Hobart’s iconic Mona museum, they filmed themselves dramatically running each other from the property to the access point.
