An Alabama school has been placed on lockdown after ammunition was found on campus.

Enterprise High School and the Enterprise Career and Technology Center were on lockdown for nearly two hours Thursday.

So far there is no news of injuries or the location of firearms. The type of ammunition discovered has not been confirmed.

This comes a day after four people, including two students, were shot and killed during a mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia.

There is no suggestion that the two events are related.

Business School officials posted on social media Thursday morning to notify the public about the situation that began at 9.40am.

“We ask that no one attempt to come to these locations until the lockdown is over. There are officers at the schools that are on lockdown and will remain there until the all clear. We will post an update once the all clear is complete,” the statement read.

At 11:37 a.m., Enterprise Police confirmed the lockdown had been lifted and Enterprise City schools confirmed normal activities had resumed.

This comes after Eufaula Police advised Eufaula City Schools and Lakeside Elementary to cancel classes Thursday due to threats received Wednesday.What’s up? information.

The closure also follows the bloodshed in Apalachee, which left nine more people injured in addition to the four fatalities.

Students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, and teachers Christina Irimie, 53, and Richard Aspinwall, 39, were identified as the victims.

Suspected gunman Colt Gray, 14, has been charged with murder and is due to appear in court tomorrow.
