Shocking footage shows the moment a young wrestler delivers a sucker punch to his opponent after tasting defeat, sending his rival into a slam dunk.

The brutal blow came after the game ended, when the minors were caught shaking hands.

The incident occurred in Oak Park, Illinois, during the third-place match, £125-128 at this year’s edition of the Beat the Street Developmental FS tournament, according to TMZ Sports.

Copper Corder, representing Spar Academy and wearing an orange jersey, defeated Hafeez Alicia, from Maine West High School. The eighth grader won, 14-2.

As he was ready to shake hands with Alicia, who was dressed in blue after the match, his opponent coldly took him, sending him straight to the floor.

The incident occurred in Oak Park, Illinois, during the third place game, 125-128 lbs

The observers in the crowd then promptly removed Alicia from the mat as the other children and their parents were shocked at what had just happened.

Corder appeared to have come out of the accident much better than he had initially feared, as he only suffered a hit to the nose.

However, it is believed that he will have to wear a face mask during his upcoming matches.

“He’s making the best of the situation and is really back in training,” Spar Academy founder Justin Birch told TMZ Sports. As you know, wrestling matches can get heated but nothing that leads to the punch would give a reason for a bad decision on the part of the opponent.

“It is not permitted in our sport and Spar Wrestling will never condone such behavior.”

Reportedly, the Oak Park Police Department is now involved and investigating the incident.
