Danniel John Hoonhout, 46, appeared at Rockingham Magistrates Court on Friday morning charged with murder.

A FIFO worker has been charged with murder after a man was allegedly stabbed inside a home in Perth’s south.

Emergency services were called to the home on Port Royal Drive in Safety Bay at around 11.45pm on Tuesday after reports a man had been seriously injured.

A 30-year-old man was treated for a serious injury, consistent with a stab wound.

Danniel John Hoonhout, 46, appeared at Rockingham Magistrates Court on Friday morning charged with murder.

He St John WA took him to Rockingham General Hospital where he died a short time later.

The FIFO worker was remanded in custody and next appears at Stirling Gardens Magistrates’ Court on May 29.
