A man who tied his pregnant dog to a toilet before dousing her with boiling water has publicly apologized after a video of the incident went viral.
The man, identified only as Bew, became enraged after Siberian husky Muay Lek ate a secret snack at his home in Thailand’s Samut Prakan province.
A horrifying video shows him first scolding the distressed-looking dog before taking out a kettle of boiling water and repeatedly pouring it over her as she writhes and howls in pain.
Leaving her severely burned, the man posted the video online, where it quickly went viral and outraged viewers demanded justice.
Shortly after, the man decided to rehome the dog but when her new owners discovered her body covered in burn marks they immediately took her to a veterinarian who contacted the SOS Animal Thailand Foundation.

The horrific video went viral and outraged viewers who demanded justice.
Foundation spokesperson Kuson Sukaree said they have now filed a complaint with the police.
Sukaree said: ‘After catching the dog secretly eating snacks, the owner uses a leash to drag her to the bathroom.
Then pour hot water over the dog’s body several times.
“Supporters let us know who the owner is.”
Following the public announcement, the accused has since attempted to clear his name and explain his actions.
Shortly after the incident, the dog was rehomed. Her new owners discovered her burns and took her to the vet.
The vet was so horrified by the poor pup’s burn marks that he contacted the SOS Animal Thailand Foundation, which consequently filed a police report. Onlookers helped identify the man, who is now trying to clear his name.

The dog is now in good hands. If she is found guilty, her former owner faces jail terms or a fine of up to £850.
Posting a third-person message on social media, he said: “Bew doesn’t have a time machine to go back and right the wrongs that happened.”
‘Bew would like to give his point of view in a space that will be open to the public.
‘Because today it is not a personal matter but rather a matter of society, of those who saw the images of violence.
He explained that he had raised the pregnant dog since she was 45 days old.
And he added: ‘Bew wants to explain to society that everyone has pressure and that there are different ways to deal with emotions when you are cornered.
And Bew made a mistake by mismanaging his emotions. We felt guilty from the day it happened.
“We are men enough to admit that we did it and we can accept every insult as a result of our own actions.”
If convicted, the man faces jail time or a fine of up to 40,000 baht (£850).
