A woman with 25 tattoos has revealed she regrets every piece of body art she has ever had.
Rose Nicholson, 32, an accountant from Manchester, got her first tattoo, an eight-inch heart design on her chest, when she was 19.
Over the next eight years, Nicholson added a half sleeve of colorful characters from The Neverhood, an adventure video game released in 1996, to his arm, along with lyrics from the song Smile by Eyedea and Abilities.
On the same arm, Rose had four pre-designed ‘flash’ tattoos, where you turn up on the day for a design that is ready to be installed immediately, and three Harry Potter tattoos.
He continued to add tattoos all over his body until he was 27, only to say that he “hated” them all by the time he reached his 30s.

The last one, the Deftones White Pony on the back of his thigh, was at the age of 27, but Rose says that by the time he was 30 he “hated” them all.
Rose says she considered having them removed, but the total cost was too high for her due to the number of tattoos.
Speaking about the possibility of removing them, Rose said: “I know it’s possible, but the process is long, expensive and painful.”
‘I don’t really have the disposable income as an adult like I did when I was younger, I lived at home and money from my job went to buying tattoos.
“When you’re young you don’t care what other people think and you don’t want to listen.”
She also said she loves the Harry Potter books and movies, but lamented that they didn’t match her choice of clothing these days.
‘I don’t like how it looks on me anymore. They don’t go well with the clothes I want to wear.
‘There was no design attempt. There is no uniformity. The work is not bad, but they are cartoon characters.

“When I was 30 I realized I hated my tattoos and wished I could take them all off.”

“The first time everyone saw them at work was during a 40-degree heat wave and people were shocked,” he said.
She added that she doesn’t wear low-cut shirts or dresses because of her first piece of body ink, a heart tattoo eight inches wide and three inches tall.
He went on to say that the tattoos he chose when he was younger give the wrong impression of his lifestyle.
‘People look at tattoos and assume I’m a certain way; interested in going to metal shows or going out and getting drunk with friends,” she said.
He said he doesn’t want to talk about the tattoos he chose to get and that people often ask him about them without him asking.
Rose added that anyone looking to get a tattoo should wait until age 30 to make sure they are happy with their chosen body ink.
“There was once a guy who came up to me and asked if he could touch them,” he said.
‘That might have been part of what made me wish I had never received them. I didn’t want to talk about my tattoos all the time.
“I thought it was cool to have tattoos and here I am now, I hate them all and I wish I could have them back.”
He said that if he were talking to his younger self, his advice would have been to consult a tattoo artist about possible body art ideas.
Rose added that anyone looking to get a tattoo should wait until age 30 to make sure they are happy with their chosen body ink.
