"World Ain't Ready": Riyan Parag's Fiery Knock For Rajasthan Royals Sends Internet Into Frenzy | Cricket News

Riyan Parag has often been criticized for not making the most of his chances in the Indian Premier League (IPL), but the all-rounder started the 2024 season with an impressive knock on Sunday. During the IPL 2024 match against Lucknow Super Giants, the Rajasthan Royals player looked fine as he hit 43 off just 29 deliveries with the help of one boundary and three sixes. Parag had brilliant form in domestic cricket last year and he converted this into a good show in the IPL as well. The blow earned him plenty of praise on social media, with users complementing him on his efforts.

Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the toss and decided to bat first against KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Both Rajasthan and Lucknow will be playing their first match of the 17th season of the IPL and will be aiming for a win in their opening match.

Speaking at the toss, Samson said that Riyan Parag will be their number four batsman. He added that Rovman Powell could feature as an impact player during the match.

“We would like to bat first today. It seems like a good batting wicket, we could do both, but we have a different combination today. Coming back to Jaipur gives a positive atmosphere in the dressing room. Riyan Parag will be our number 4, Jos, Hetty and Boult are there, Powell could be an impact player,” said Samson.

On the other hand, Rahul said that they would have batted first if they had won the toss. The LSG skipper also confirmed that Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran and Naveen-ul-Haq are their four foreign players.

“We would have batted first too, but the wicket looks good. I’m happy to be back on the field, injuries have become my best friend in recent years, but it makes you hungry and you perform much better when You are back. QdK, Pooran, Stoinis and Naveen-ul-Haq are our four overseas options. The focus for us right now is on this match,” Rahul said.
