Chelsea have now found out who they will face in the UEFA Conference League play-offs.

This comes after Braga’s 2-1 away win against Swiss side Servette on Thursday evening.

That result means the Portuguese side will advance to the Europa League, while Servette will be relegated to the Conference League.

Things will not get any easier for Servette despite being relegated to Europe’s third-tier competition, as they face Chelsea over two legs.

The first leg of the tie will be played just four days after Chelsea’s season opener against Manchester City on August 22 at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea then play the return leg in Switzerland on August 29, sandwiched between a tricky trip to Wolves and a home clash with Crystal Palace.

Servette have experience in the tournament having reached the last 16 last season, while Chelsea will be the hot favourites to lift the trophy at their first attempt.

The Blues have not played Servette since May 1946, as part of a six-game postseason tour of Switzerland.

Chelsea fans have reacted to the confirmation of their opponents with confidence of reaching the knockout stages.

One fan said: “If we don’t win by 10 goals we’ll revolt,” while another predicted an 8-1 aggregate scoreline.

There were some who seemed to joke about the similarity between Servette and Napkin, as another fan wrote: ‘If we can’t beat a team that has the same name as a napkin, we’re done.

While a fourth fan added: “I can safely say that we are going to crush Servette in the qualifying phase.”

Chelsea have one of the biggest squads in the Premier League so are expected to change most of their squad from the one that will play against Manchester City on Sunday.
