Influencer Veruca Salt has defended her decision to attend a Taylor Swift concert days after celebrating her six-week-old son Cash’s funeral.
Salt, whose real name is Kimberley Summer Hartley, announced earlier this month that her son Cash had “tragically died in his sleep” and that she “doesn’t know what happened.”
Since then, the Gold Coast influencer, 25, has kept her followers updated on her grieving process, including documenting her son’s funeral on Monday night.
On Friday, Salt returned to TikTok with a tearful video announcing that she would be attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Sydney on Saturday.
In her video, Salt said she was aware that her decision to attend the show would draw criticism, but said she wanted to go because Swift’s music brings back happy memories of her son.

Salt, who bought tickets to Swift’s show while still pregnant with Cash, explained: “I knew my baby would be a little over two months old when I was supposed to go to Taylor Swift. I’m still here. I still came. I’m at the hotel .
“I just feel the need to make a video because I know people are going to be like, ‘Oh, she’s on Taylor Swift, the other day was her fucking baby’s funeral,'” she continued.
He went on to reveal that Cash’s funeral took place on his birthday and that he wanted to finally feel some joy.
Salt, who bought tickets to Swift’s show while she was still pregnant with Cash, attended Swift’s concert on Saturday night. She had previously uploaded a tearful video defending her decision to attend.
‘Since my baby died I have a lot of anxiety. I cry all the time. “I just didn’t want to come across like I don’t care because obviously that’s what matters most to me, he’s my baby,” Salt said, breaking down into tears.
Salt then explained that he has been a fan of Swift since the beginning of her career and that he listens to her music daily.
‘[I listened to Swift’s music] When my baby was in the womb, when he came out, every morning I put him to bed with Taylor Swift, he bathed with Taylor Swift, he dressed with Taylor Swift. . . “We love Taylor Swift.”
Shortly before attending Swift’s concert on Saturday, Veruca returned to TikTok to reveal the outfit she wore to the show.

Accompanied by fellow Gold Coast influencer Michael Finch, Salt was seen smiling and posing in a tight black crop top and long skirt.
“I had a brilliant outfit, but I was probably a little miserable wearing it,” she explained.
Salt added that she was also wearing a ‘C’ pendant necklace in honor of Cash, as well as a sparkly butterfly brooch that also represented her baby.

A day later, Salt shared a short clip of herself dancing near the stage at Swift’s show.
At one point, Swift turns around and appears to look at Salt for a moment, causing the influencer to gasp with joy.
“Taylor Allison Swift looked me in the eyes, smiled and pointed, spun and cast a spell on me last night,” Salt said in the caption.
