Wild footage of Robbie Williams ‘kissing’ an Australian television reporter on his first day at work has resurfaced.
Robbie Williams, 50, was then 27 when he appeared on Channel V in 2000.
In a video posted to Instagram on Monday, a young, pony-tailed Osher Günsberg could be seen introducing reporter Yumi Stynes to the world-famous musician in front of a screaming live audience.
“Now, this is Yumi’s first day,” Osher began, introducing the pop star to the young reporter.
Robbie held Yumi’s gaze as he shook her hand and said, “It’s nice to meet you.” Let’s kiss?
Yumi nodded and the British pop star leaned in for a long, open-mouth kiss, to the apparent surprise of both Osher and the studio audience.
After coming up for air, Yumi, apparently impressed, fanned herself with a sheet of paper.
Despite comments on resurfaced footage of the kiss suggesting the Angels singer would be ‘arrested’ for the move in 2024, the surprise moment was actually orchestrated by Yumi herself.

The 49-year-old podcaster and author has since revealed that she had actually arranged the kiss to secure her job at the music television channel.
Then working as a chef, he answered a newspaper advert in Melbourne and queued with hundreds of other TV hopefuls, before receiving a call for a second live audition in Sydney.
She was one of eight finalists in line for the job on Australia’s 24-hour music television channel.

The podcaster and author had asked the Angels singer backstage if she would “wield” her to get the hang of it and give her the job.
“They said we’re pretty sure the person you’ll be interviewing for your live interview will be Robbie Williams,” Yumi said. the guardian as he recalled the defining moment in his career.
“I remember thinking, ‘Oh, Robbie Williams, that’s a big deal.'”
‘I thought if I was really going to interview Robbie Williams, what would I ask him? “I really thought that if he wanted to represent women like me, I would ask him if I could kiss him.”
She described the atmosphere backstage as fairly quiet, with only Osher, a producer with headphones, Robbie and her manager in the room.
Yumi Stynes attended Australia’s 2024 Women in Music Awards at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane last week. The feminist author, 49, appeared to be having fun as she posed alongside Australian singer Sarah McLeod.
After asking Robbie if they could “pass” on stage, Robbie’s manager had to explain to the star what “pass” meant.
‘Oh, snog, oh yeah. OK. “Then I better have a mint,” Robbie said.
‘We called action and the cameras started rolling. And before I had a chance to ask him anything, Robbie said, “So, are we going to make out?”
“He grabbed me, did a ballroom dance, and planted a big, fat, wet, open-mouthed kiss on me. Everyone started screaming and it was chaos.”
When the channel was about to pause, Robbie grabbed her and kissed her a second time.
He claimed that at the Foxtel offices, the other seven finalists knew that Yumi had sealed the job with that kiss.
At the time of the interview, the former Take That singer was five years into his solo career and was at the peak of his fame on the Weddings, Barmitzvahs & Stadiums Tour in support of his third studio album, Sing When You’ re Winning.
