“This whole thing is probably going to cost us about $200,000,” he added.

“I can’t even believe I’m saying this, but I know a lot of people who have followed me have mentioned the financial stress that comes with this, and it’s real.”

‘Now, listen, I feel very privileged to be able to take my savings and use that money for this, but still it’s our money that’s being spent on something that, when you think about it, is the only thing we truly want and is worth spending on, but it’s so heartbreaking that this is something that happens to so many people so easily and for free.’

Whitney, who has previously spoken out about her weight loss, also opened up about feeling anxious about her upcoming egg retrieval.

‘I started to feel a little bit anxious about this whole egg retrieval process and not knowing what the plan was because I was basically waiting for my period to see what the next month would be like.’

He also shared that he is recovering with a different doctor in New York City this time around.

“I am not happy with what happened with my doctors in Los Angeles.”

“And I don’t want to say that they did anything wrong, but my first doctor was a doctor who was able to get four embryos out of 21 eggs from that retrieval, and we transferred two of those embryos to a surrogate, and they both miscarried.”

“I’m nervous because I’m not going to get quality eggs and I don’t know what all this is going to be for. I’m scared,” she wrote.

‘So we still have two more embryos from that round in reserve, but once we started talking to Dr. Fisher in New York, who Timmy grew up with and has helped many of our friends get pregnant, she said, ‘I really think the best bet is to do a new round of retrieval, create new embryos, and then try with a new surrogate. ‘

“We haven’t found our surrogate yet, we’re in the process of finding one, that’s another thing.”

“It’s very expensive, and when you do a rematch, if you don’t have a doctor’s note saying you need to do it, then you have to pay a whole new fee to do it.”

‘And right now I’m trying to get a letter from the doctor basically saying why we didn’t go ahead with that previous surrogate.’

“We don’t know exactly what was wrong with the two embryos we put into our last surrogate. They were genetically tested, but the surrogate also had some blood clots, so the doctor should give us a note so we can re-match them with a surrogate without having to pay another $15,000.”

Whitney also shared why her doctor thinks her previous eggs might have been “overcooked.”

“She said maybe they gave me a little too much medicine and the eggs were taken out a little late, that’s why a lot of them were kind of ‘overcooked’ and we were only able to do four of the 21.”

“This time he’ll be monitoring my medication differently and dosing everything differently. Hopefully, we’ll have healthier embryos.”

“I mean, all we need is a girl. Would I like a girl? Yes. Do I need a girl? No. I just want a healthy baby.”

She also shared an update on her Instagram on Tuesday, featuring a photo of herself on the beach in a blue one-piece swimsuit.

“As I get closer to egg retrieval, I wanted to share an honest update on how I’m feeling and honestly, I feel terrible. It’s not the physical discomfort (which is totally awful – swelling, bruising, puffiness, heaviness), but the emotional discomfort,” she wrote in the caption.

“The hormones make me feel like I can’t handle anything, that everything is the worst. And I’m nervous because I won’t have quality eggs and I don’t know what all this is going to be for. I’m scared. My energy is non-existent and I feel like I’m not giving what I should as a wife, mother, sister, friend, coworker, etc.”

She continued: “I feel like I have a knot in my stomach and I’m on the verge of tears (really) all day long. The thing is, every day I’ve felt different. Yesterday, two days before the extraction, was the worst day, whereas today I feel a little better.”

“I’ll be ready to be grateful again soon, but I’m not there yet because there’s so much up in the air. I may be pessimistic, but I don’t want to force any feelings either. I can’t thank you enough for your support and words of encouragement.”

She and her husband Tim have had a tortuous road in their attempt to add another child to the group.
