Kennedy’s arrest came amid an argument with his girlfriend Ally Lewber, whose privacy Shay said he wanted to protect.
“I was respecting Ally’s privacy, as she requested,” Scheana explained.
“So I wasn’t going to say anything on the podcast, but now I see what you get by staying silent. So I talked to Ally. I talk to her often. I’ve always done it. “But I know it seems like if I stay silent, everyone will somehow think I support their behavior, which is not the case at all,” he clarified.

Shay encouraged Kennedy to “get help” in her latest podcast release.
She emphasized, “And not just to prevent Ally, or any other girl, from being subjected to abusive behavior in the future, but to give herself the opportunity to live a life with healthy relationships.”

Speaking towards Ally, he shared: ‘I want you to know that you have support. I don’t want to say something that will then put her in a position where she has to choose between a friendship or a relationship.
‘I just don’t want there to be one less support mechanism for her. “That will only make things more difficult.”
Lewber previously made a statement via Instagram Stories that read: “Thank you to everyone who reached out with love and support and for checking in on me.”
‘I’m fine and I’m taking the time I need right now. “I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”
