Matt Lucas posed for a sweet photo with Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor on Friday after they unexpectedly found themselves sitting next to each other on a packed train.
The comedian, 50, looked delighted as he flashed a dazzling smile alongside the actress, 61, who plays Sally Metcalfe in the ITV soap.
And their chance meeting was clearly fortunate as Matt gushed about the “wonderful” and “remarkable” actress after they spent almost three hours chatting with each other.
Captioning his post, Matt wrote: “The train was packed and I found myself sitting next to Sally Dynevor, an extraordinary actress and human being whose work I have enjoyed, along with the rest of the nation, for so many years.
‘We chatted for almost three hours about our work and our lives. She is as warm, kind and wonderful off screen as she is in Weatherfield. I also met his daughter Phoebe, who isn’t doing too bad either. What a delight. unknown’
After his heartwarming post, Sally responded with her own message as she praised Matt and sweetly commented that it was “the best train ride ever.”

Sally’s daughter, Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor, 29, also commented on Matt’s post, presumably having met the TV star at the end of the train journey.
She wrote: ‘Had the best train journey! Thanks for keeping him company nice to meet you x’
While Sally’s other actress daughter Hattie, 21, responded: ‘This is so cute!!’
Comes after Matthow her incredible weight loss unfolded in a navy suit while attending the Gladiator 2 premiere last month.
The comedian and actor, who recently went from a size XXXL to a size medium, put on a sophisticated display by stepping out in a custom-made two-piece ensemble.
He donned his suit over a crisp white shirt and a navy tie, printed with a fun multicolored square design as he showed off his slender figure.
Matt plays the ringmaster in battle scenes and previously said he had filmed “about 80 takes” of his self-audition to try to impress director Ridley Scott.

In 2022, Matt revealed how his family’s troubling medical history caused him to change his eating habits and become more conscious of his weight.
Matt was just 22 years old when his father passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52, something he said was a much-needed wake-up call as he was growing up.
Appearing on sports presenter Gabby Logan’s podcast at the time, he said: “I’m 48 years old, my father died when he was 52, very suddenly, his father died, I think at 56, so I was looking at the law of averages here.”
‘I was very big and I was actually getting bigger during the pandemic.
“It’s like not being very active, not really going out, not seeing people, just eating a lot of roast potatoes.” I can’t tell you how many roast potatoes I ate!
It comes after Matt showed off his incredible weight loss in a navy suit while attending the Gladiator 2 premiere last month.

The actor ditched his unhealthy lifestyle in a bid to lose some weight after packing on the pounds during lockdown (pictured left in 2005 and right in 2022).
In 2022, Matt revealed how his family’s troubling medical history caused him to change his eating habits and become more conscious of his weight.
He said the realization made him lose weight, but the comedian said he felt like he needed to exercise more and get in shape anyway.
And he added: “It was so big that it no longer fit on the screen.” The thing is that if you’re big, and by the way I still have a good belly, I’m not thin, far from it, I’ve just lost some weight…
“I went from maybe an XXL, sometimes it was an XXXL, until now I think I’m a medium. Although the medium is sometimes too big for me and sometimes too small…
‘The only thing I need to do is get in shape, I’ve put on a little weight, that’s my next challenge: exercise a little more.
‘Maybe I have to make it a game when I go out and exercise to stay out of people’s way. “I don’t have a garden, so I have to find a way to do it.”
