Reacting to BRS leader KT Rama Rao’s ‘phone tapping’ comments, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday warned that anyone involved in phone tapping under the previous government will be sent to jail.
‘Previously, the government scared the people who voted for them by cracking down on cases and tapping telephone conversations. “KTR says they tapped a few phone calls, what next?” Can anyone talk like that? If you tapped phones, go to Cherlapalli prison. The officers who listened to them are in jail. We have already said that they are evildoers, thieves, and if you listen to them, you will go to prison. KTR speaks like a rampant bull. They will pay for it, but the matter is being investigated,” Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said.
BRS working chairman KT Rama Rao had earlier claimed that “phone tapping, if it had happened, could have been limited to a few people”.

“On the basis of his confession, he was arrested today around 8:00 am by the Investigating Officer and was produced before the Hon’ble .2024. As a result, he was lodged in Chanchalguda Jail today evening,” it added.
