A newlywed bride tragically died at her wedding party in Brazil this weekend, just hours after marrying her fiancé.

The tragedy occurred on Sunday afternoon in a building in the city of Limeira, in the state of São Paulo, when Elisangela Gazano, 38, lost her balance and fell into a pool in a rented villa where she was having a party.

The guests not only celebrated Gazano’s wedding the day before, but also his daughter’s birthday.

Local reports said the non-swimmer had been dancing along the water’s edge when she slipped and fell into the water and immediately began to panic.

Her fellow revelers attempted to rescue her and called emergency services, but Gazano went into cardiac arrest when she was rushed to hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.

Her friend Flavia Silva said in a touching farewell message on social media after the drowning tragedy: “I met you these last few days in the market and you were so happy that you were getting married.”

‘Look how destiny is a dream that comes true and on the same day without knowing that there would be a goodbye that would be your departure.

‘Wherever you are, I want you to know that it was a pleasure meeting you.

‘Your joy was contagious, your laugh was the best and when you put it together with mine, everyone stopped to look at you.

‘May God comfort the hearts of her family and her husband. My deepest condolences to everyone. We will miss you.”

Elisangela’s funeral will take place this afternoon.

In June 2022, newlywed Marina Morgan died on her honeymoon in a terrifying buggy accident.

The stroller overturned while her husband, Robbie Awad, attempted to make a U-turn.

He was unharmed, but Marina, 29, died at the scene despite the desperate efforts of a doctor and an off-duty firefighter to save her.

The accident took place on Whitsunday Boulevard, on the northern tip of Hamilton Island, Queensland.

Robbie now faces four charges over the crash, and his trial is scheduled for July 5-6 following a series of negotiations between Morgan’s defense attorneys and the prosecution.

It will resume on July 11 and 12 if it cannot be completed in two days.

Mr. Awad and Mrs. Hanna were celebrating their honeymoon on Hamilton Island after her big church wedding in Sydney 11th June.

Bystanders, including an off-duty firefighter, a doctor and a dentist, attempted to save Mrs Morgan at the scene for 35 minutes but were unsuccessful.

A helicopter called to take her to Townsville hospital was withdrawn after the severity of her injuries was realized.

Mr Awad’s case was first mentioned in the Proserpine Magistrate’s Court in December 2022 and he was granted bail, mail reported.

He has pleaded not guilty to causing his wife’s death and has sought new representation since last year.
