Roy Hodgson reportedly has no plans to quit football despite a health issue forcing him to leave Crystal Palace.

The former England manager, 76, fell ill on the training ground earlier this month and resigned as Palace manager a few days later to be replaced by Oliver Glasner.

But according to SunHodgson wants to continue working within the game, potentially in a consultancy role.

Hodgson’s reputation remains high in the coaching world and he is expected to receive job offers, some of them potentially coming from abroad.

He trained in several countries early in his career, including Sweden, Switzerland and Italy.

Roy Hodgson, 76, is reportedly keen to continue in football despite a health problem forcing him to resign as Crystal Palace manager last week.

Hodgson played a role in Palace’s squad selection for their Premier League match against Everton on Monday night before his medical drama, which came amid reports he was on the verge of being sacked.

Before the match at Goodison Park, Palace announced that Hodgson had resigned so he could “present his plans to appoint a new manager”.

Glasner, former coach of Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, was then named his successor and watched the 1-1 draw against Everton from the stands.

The Austrian, 49, led a 3-0 victory over Burnley in his first game in charge on Saturday.

Chris Richards, Jordan Ayew and Jean-Philippe Mateta scored at Selhurst Park as Palace climbed to 13th in the table, eight points above the relegation zone.
