Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant, who is playing his 100th match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, received a special shirt as the entire team applauded. DC’s match against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium will mark Pant’s 100th match in the IPL. IPL went to ” Pant, in his 100th IPL match, won the toss and put Sanju Samson-led RR to bat in their second match of the season.

The Rajasthan-based franchise will be riding high on their confidence after their 20-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). RR are second in the IPL standings, two points behind their name.
While DC started their IPL 2024 campaign with a defeat against the Punjab Kings. They are currently eighth on the points table.

After winning the toss, Pant announced his decision to bowl, his 100th IPL game, saying: “We are going to bowl first. The wicket looks good and we want to use it, there may be some dew in the second innings. It feels good to play 100 matches for the same franchise, but every game is important to me. Most of the worries are about injuries, but these are things you have no control over. Two changes for us: Ishant has not recovered, Shai Hope has a back spasm. Anrich Nortje and Mukesh Kumar come in,” Pant said.
