Queen Letizia of Spain opted for business chic with an added touch of glamor as she took to the podium to chair a medical research forum today.

The Queen, 51, wore a red tweed jacket with gold buttons, paired with black trousers, as she took to the stage to open the forum.

The mother of two also wore black patent slingback kitten heels to complete her outfit.

Her brunette tresses were styled in a sleek straight cut to frame her face, and she chose neutral makeup for the occasion.

The forum, organized by Fundación Mutua Madrileña, supports four key objectives: promoting medical research, carrying out social and cultural projects and promoting road safety among young people.

The Foundation’s website states that its work in its four focus areas is carried out in a “sustainable” manner.

Her solo appearance at the event comes after she joined her husband, King Felipe, in welcoming the disability champions to the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.

The royal couple were pictured speaking to representatives and shaking their hands, before posing for an official group photo.

Letizia put on a very stylish presentation in a fine knit long-sleeved black sweater, which she complemented with tailored green Hugo Boss pants.

The mother-of-two looked fresh and fashionable, as she showed off her recent haircut and swapped her usual heels for a pair of comfortable loafers, also from Hugo Boss.

The high-waisted pants were accented with green paneled pockets and flattered her figure, while an additional black belt also highlighted her stunning figure.

The Spanish queen kept her look very simple and clean, with no obvious jewelry, but opted for radiant, glowing makeup.

Meanwhile, her husband King Felipe VI, 56, appeared in good spirits, joining Letizia to greet the disability champions.

He too opted for a formal look, pairing his gray pinstriped suit with a peach tie.
