Princess Theodora of Greece will finally marry her fiancé Matthew Kumar on September 28, after a four-year delay.
The Greek royal, 40, who was born in London, will marry her Los Angeles-based lawyer fiancé in Athens this fall, it was reported Hello! magazine.
The couple, who announced their engagement in November 2018, were initially scheduled to marry on the Greek island of Spetses in 2020, until they were forced to call off the event due to the coronavirus pandemic.
They were rescheduled for a second time after the tragic loss of actress Theodora’s father, King Constantine of Greece, who died in January 2023.
The couple were seen side by side at King Constantine’s memorial service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in February 2024, which was attended by royals from across Europe, including Queen Camilla, King Philip of Spain and Queen Letizia.

But Theodora and Matthew, who began dating in 2016, now appear to be putting their wedding plans into motion, after local media reported that the couple will tie the knot on September 28 in Athens.
Matthew, 40, was born in Southern California and was living in Los Angeles when he met Theodora, who plays secretary Alison Montgomery on The Bold and the Beautiful.
At the time of their engagement, Theodora announced the happy news on Instagram, saying: ‘Words cannot express our happiness and excitement. I can’t wait to marry this wonderful man. I love you, Matt.’
Her parents separately issued a statement saying: “Their Majesties King Constantine and Queen Anne Mary are delighted to announce the engagement of their youngest daughter, Theodora, to Mr Matthew Kumar.
‘More details regarding the upcoming wedding will be provided in due course. Matthew Kumar, 34, was born and raised in Southern California, the son of Sam and Lonnie Kumar. He is a practicing attorney in Los Angeles.
The first wedding date, May 26, 2020, was postponed when the coronavirus pandemic hit.

Theodora and Matthew appeared in Windsor in February 2024 when they attended a memorial service for King Constantine.
Despite not walking down the aisle that day, Theodora still celebrated with her future husband and shared a photo of her and Matthew on Instagram as they dined on Greek salad, olives, bread and cheese and shared a drink.
While posting the photo, the princess wrote: ‘On what should have been our wedding weekend, the love and support from friends and family has been greatly appreciated. “We look forward to celebrating with all of you in Greece once it is safe.”
When the pandemic finally came to an end, Theodora and Matthew set another wedding date: “early summer” 2023, in Porto Heli, Greece.
However, just a month after the Greek Royal House announced the date of the second wedding, King Constantine died.
King Constantine, the last king of Greece who was exiled in 1973 when the monarchy was abolished, had five children; Crown Prince Pavlos, Prince Philippos, Princess Alexia, Princess Theodora and Prince Nikolaos.
The exiled king died at the age of 82 in January 2023. As Theodora mourned her father, she postponed her wedding to Matthew Kumar for the second time.

Two months after her father’s death, the princess posted a tribute on Instagram saying: ‘It’s been two months since you left us. I miss you every day dad. I love you.’
Although she won’t have her father to walk her down the aisle, Theodora’s older brother, Crown Prince Pavlos, is believed to play the role of “gifting” his younger sister.
