Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and congratulated him on successfully hosting the First Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels.
The two leaders also reviewed relations between the two nations and discussed strengthening ties and advancing the India-EU partnership under the Belgian presidency.

Belgian Prime Minister De Croo said the two leaders discussed growing commercial ties between New Delhi and Brussels, including in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and green hydrogen sectors.
He also said that Belgium will send a royal trade mission to India.

Both leaders discussed the excellent relations between India and Belgium. They discussed ways to further strengthen the bilateral partnership in various sectors, including trade, investment, clean technologies, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, green hydrogen, IT, defense and ports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the Strategic Partnership between India and the EU under the ongoing Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
They exchanged views on regional and global developments. They agreed on the need to strengthen cooperation and support for the early restoration of peace and security in the West Asian region and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The two leaders also agreed to remain in touch, the statement said.
The first nuclear energy summit took place in Belgium on March 21.
World leaders from more than 30 countries and the European Union (EU) gathered at the summit and emphasized the importance of using nuclear energy to achieve energy security and climate goals and drive sustainable development.
Earlier in February, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met his counterparts from Poland, Belgium and Portugal on the sidelines of the Security Conference in Munich, Germany.
During its meeting with Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib, EAM hailed the progress in bilateral ties between India and Belgium.
“Good to meet FM of Belgium @hadjalahbib in Munich this morning. I am happy to work with the Belgian Presidency of the EU, and to promote our bilateral ties,” the EAM wrote.
