"Our Boys Are Lazy Bums": Rohit Sharma's Cheeky Remark, Ritika's Reaction Cannot Be Missed | Cricket News

Team India captain Rohit Sharma and star batsman Shreyas Iyer will make a special appearance on the Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show, which is currently airing on Netflix. The full episode of Rohit and Iyer’s interaction with host Kapil and the fans will air later this week, with Netflix sharing a teaser of the upcoming episode. Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh was also in the audience when she burst out laughing after the Indian skipper targeted the youngsters in the team with his cheeky comment.

While Kapil asked Rohit if he had gotten angry with anyone on the cricket field, the Indian skipper floored the fans, Iyer and Ritika, with one of his witty one-liners.

“What can I do? Our boys are lazy bums, they just don’t run,” Rohit said in the teaser uploaded by Netflix. The fragment has now gone viral on social media.

In India’s last assignment, Rohit led a young side to a 4-1 win over England in the Test series.

The likes of Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami had missed the five-match series for various reasons.

Rohit and co. managed to record a comeback series win.

Rohit is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. He was stripped of his captaincy ahead of the season and played under new skipper Hardik Pandya.

Iyer, on the other hand, leads Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. Under him, KKR have played both matches so far.

Iyer was recently in the news after losing his central contract with BCCI. He’s had a tough month in the run-up to the IPL, but the KKR skipper suggested he wanted to put all those negative thoughts on the back burner as he focused on what lay ahead.

“I don’t want to think about what the doctor said, what the injury was, because, like I said before, if you think too much, you focus on the injury and forget what you’re doing at that moment.” are doing the best,” Iyer told the media ahead of the team’s opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

“So I want to put all these things aside and focus on what’s on the plate for me,” the skipper made his priority clear.
