Plastic surgery, edible massage oil and even a piece of land in Australia: the outrageous giveaways inside the $150,000 Oscars goodie bag — and the only item that was BANNED this year
Not every actor can win an Oscar, but this year’s nominees certainly won’t leave empty-handed.
The top acting and directing nominees at this year’s Academy Awards will walk away with lavish gift bags with an estimated value of $150,000.
The giveaways include everything from plastic surgery procedures to land in Australia, but there’s one item that wasn’t included this year: sex toys.
Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary, who selected the bag, told Australia the morning program on Friday they were unable to include any adult products this time.
“Unfortunately, I can’t include sex toy stuff anymore,” he told co-hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur.

“I used to put it in because it was a lovely, low-key way for Meryl Streep or Jennifer Lawrence or any of these amazing nominees, who can’t go to a sex shop and buy fun stuff, to do it quietly,” she explained. .
Despite throwing the sex toys out of the loot bag, Lash admitted that he had put some edible avocado oil in there.
Some of the most expensive items inside include a luxury forest getaway to Ottawa, Canada, and a vacation to the volcanic island of Ischia.
There is also the deed to a small plot of land in Australia to help with conservation efforts in Australia.
For actors who enjoy a pinch and cosmetic surgery, there’s $10,000 worth of Botox and fillers and $12,000 worth of body sculpting treatments.
There are also various products from brands like PETA, Maison Construction, NaturGeeks, Rareté Studios, ReFa, Proflexa, Miage skincare, Benigna parfum and more.
“These nominees are uniquely positioned to help participating brands immeasurably simply by using, wearing and talking about these products,” Lash said in a statement.
“While our gifts may be famous for being fun, fabulous, useful and unique, they also serve a greater purpose,” he added.

There’s a catch when it comes to the goodie bag.
Oscar nominees who receive the gifts cannot re-gift them to others, as they are expected to use them themselves so the brand can get media exposure.
The 2023 Academy Awards will air in Australia on Monday, March 13.
