At least at one major German retailer, the recently released RTX 4070 has sold well so far.
According to current figures from the large German online retailer Mindfactory, Nvidia is off to a very good start there with the new RTX 4070. The appropriate data comes once again from the Twitter user TechEpiphanywhich analyzes the shop’s publicly available figures at regular intervals.
What do the current numbers say? In principle, the data have limited significance, since it is only a German shop. From our point of view, however, the sales figures are still interesting, also because the shop is one of the largest online retailers in this country.
According to TechEpiphany, the top 10 graphics cards sold at Mindfactory in the last week of the Geforce RTX 4070 launch are as follows:

So the RTX 4070 comes in first place. This is followed by five Radeon models until the next RTX graphics card from Nvidia appears in the form of the RTX 4070 Ti. AMD is represented in the top 10 a total of six times and Nvidia four times. You can find out how fast the RTX 4070 is in our GPU test:
In terms of absolute sales, AMD is also just ahead, matching this picture. According to TechEpiphany, the distribution is 58.9 percent in favor of AMD and 40.6 percent for Nvidia. The tiny remainder is accounted for by Intel’s Arc graphics cards.
When it comes to sales, there is practically a tie: AMD comes to 50.4 percent, Nvidia to 49.5 percent. Intel does not play a significant role in Mindfactory or in this category.

It is not too surprising that the RTX 4070 seems to hit a nerve in the large German online shop. After all, this is the cheapest graphics card of the RTX 4000 generation to date.
Before we get there in the price range below 500 euros, we still have to wait for the RTX 4060 (Ti). She is expected in May 2023.
