The gym confirmed that a trainer and a member were injured.
One of the two gym goers was sitting on the right side of the couch. The other was squatting to the left of the sofa, talking to the man sitting on the sofa.
As the car crashed through the gym wall, it took the couch with it, pushing both the seated man and the couch into a set of elliptical machines and stationary bikes.
Once the car stopped, other gym members rushed to help the victim.
Surveillance footage did not show where the victim ended up in relation to the car, but a pair of legs can be seen flailing next to his left front tire.
Other members of the gym were heard yelling at the driver to “back up” so the man could be freed. A voice could also be heard off-camera yelling “pick me up.”
After the driver of the pickup truck did as he was told, bystanders helped the man out, where he then limped away from the vehicle.
A gym member checked on the driver of the SUV, who could not be clearly distinguished in the video.
