This is the moment a California man was brutally attacked by a group of 30 teenage cyclists who broke his leg after they claimed he cut them off.
Shailoobek Bazarbai Uulu was left with a broken leg and deep lacerations and cuts on his body after a mob of teenagers attacked him in downtown Los Angeles on August 2.
The group was seen jumping and vandalizing Uulu’s car near the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Hope Street, video obtained by KTLA presented.
Uulu said the group stopped in front of his vehicle and when the light turned green he tried to overtake them. Moments later the brazen youths threw water on his car.
“I was a little confused. I drove through the intersection, stopped, and got out of the car to find out what had happened,” he wrote in a GoFundMe.
After stopping, the teens attacked him ruthlessly. They say he blocked their path and nearly ran over one of them, according to KTLA.
“Suddenly they surrounded me and one of them started to approach me. I didn’t say anything to them. I turned around and started running down the street, while some of them ran after me,” she wrote in the fundraising campaign.

He turned around when he noticed the teenagers jumping on his vehicle and stealing his personal belongings.
As he tried to make his way back to his car, “they attacked me from all sides,” he said, and “I fell to the ground and was surrounded by them.”
“I covered my head as a group of them surrounded me and kicked and punched me,” she wrote.
The attack only stopped after Janeth Garcia, who was making deliveries for Uber Eats, intervened after seeing Uulu getting punched and limping without shoes.
“I went in and got to him because it was a very delicate thing to see,” she told KTLA. “I grabbed him, took him in my arms and took him to a safer place.”
Uulu broke her leg and was left with “numerous bruises and cuts on her body.” Her leg will also need surgery.
The teens allegedly caused $20,000 worth of damage to their car.
She stopped after seeing the teens starting to “throw objects at her car and hit it.”
“The whole incident was very inhumane,” he continued. “I was so helpless that I didn’t want to start a fight.”
Uulu credits Garcia, who gave him a hug after reaching safety, for saving his life.
The teens fled the scene after the attack and the Los Angeles Police Department is still searching for them.
