Martha Stewart has revealed that she did not spend Christmas in cold New York, but instead decided to travel to Africa for a luxurious safari.

The 83-year-old housekeeping expert took to Instagram this week and confirmed she was enjoying a safari vacation at a luxury resort in Namibia, where a family chalet costs nearly $600 a night.

Revealing that she would be staying at Ongava Game Reserve, Martha posted some photos on Christmas Day and captioned them: ‘Our first trip to @ongavagamereserve on Christmas Eve.

“Our expert guide and driver introduced us to the white rhino, the various antelopes and impalas and some tortoises and freshwater turtles. The sunset was spectacular.”

He also shared some videos of rhinos and informed his 2.5 million followers: ‘The white rhino and grazing calves need grass to survive. Females have longer frontal horns than males. Beautiful creatures.’

Additionally, Martha posted some photos of a beautiful double rainbow and added that they had a “gentle rainy night.”

Ongava Game Reserve is home to several opulent villas featuring private infinity pools and viewing points.

The large private reserve offers guests a variety of experiences and activities and also has its own spa terrace, where tourists can enjoy a massage in nature.

On Friday, Martha continued to share more snaps from their holiday, revealing that they had enjoyed a drive through Etosha National Park.

“Many giraffes of all ages, many species of birds, antelopes, turtles and a stop at the second largest salt pan in Africa were observed.”
