A body has been found behind a concrete barrier along a road on the New South Wales mid north coast.
Police were called to Johns River, about 36 kilometers south of Taree, about 5pm on Sunday following reports that a body had been found.
Officers found a man dead in a nature strip behind concrete barriers along the Pacific Highway.
The man is believed to be in his 30s but has not yet been formally identified.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death was launched.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward and are appealing for witnesses to help identify a man who was reportedly seen walking southbound on the M1 Pacific Highway between Kew and Johns River between 7 and November 10.
