Lego has joined forces with Universal Pictures to bring a cult classic film franchise to brick format in a stunning new release.
In an exciting collaboration, The Lego Group and Universal Products & Experiences have introduced the Lego Ideas JAWS set, a stunning brick-built diorama inspired by the iconic 1975 blockbuster film JAWS.
The highly-anticipated set, priced at £129.99, meticulously recreates one of the most famous scenes from Steven Spielberg’s masterpiece, allowing fans to relive the suspense and excitement in intricate Lego form.
The idea for this extraordinary set was originally conceived by LEGO fan Johnny Campbell, via the LEGO Ideas community platform, and will be available to LEGO Insiders from August 3 and to everyone from August 6.
The 1,497-piece set captures key elements and characters from the movie in LEGO minifigure form, including Police Chief Martin Brody, marine biologist Matt Hooper and deckhand Sam Quint.

The highly anticipated set, priced at £129.99, meticulously recreates one of the most famous scenes from Steven Spielberg’s masterpiece.
The centerpiece of the set is the iconic Orca boat, which features a detailed cabin with removable roof, adjustable boom and rigging.
The set also includes many recognizable accessories, such as a revolver, compass, fishing rod, harpoon, spear and the iconic yellow cannons.
Fans can display the set on a brick-built seawater base, featuring the JAWS Lego shark model attacking the Orca boat.
A printed mosaic featuring Chief Brody’s famous quote, “You’re gonna need a bigger boat,” completes this nostalgic and fun centerpiece.
Alternatively, the shark can be displayed separately from the boat on its own stand.
To celebrate the launch, Lego and Universal Products & Experiences have created a summer mini-movie titled “JAWS…in a Jiffy,” which is a 90-second recreation of the cult classic featuring memorable scenes.
Speaking about his design approach, fan designer Johnny Campbell revealed: ‘JAWS is my favourite movie of all time, so I really wanted to recreate it with LEGO bricks.’
He added: ‘Building with LEGO has always been a part of my life in one way or another, but to get all the finer details, I actually froze JAWS while I was watching it so I could glance at the finer details and make notes as I went along.
