Laura Byrne has revealed that she wants

Laura Byrne has revealed she wants to “move to Noosa” after spending more than $2 million on her “dream” home on the New South Wales south coast.

The Bachelor star, 38, and her husband Matty J Johnson have just purchased a derelict house in Ulladulla, south of Sydney, as part of a major renovation project.

However, Bondi-based Laura hinted another big move isn’t out of the question as she admitted she would be interested in moving to Noosa in an Instagram video.

Speaking to the camera during a sun-soaked girls’ holiday at a beachside location, Laura admitted it could be difficult to get husband Matty to agree to her plans.

Showing off the sights to his fans, he enthused: ‘I don’t get paid by Noosa Tourism to promote Noosa, but… I mean, I wish I was paid… Look, I’m sorry, there are people down there doing stand-up paddle boarding.’

“This is heaven! I wonder what it will be like when I get home and try to convince my husband that we should move to Noosa. Wish me luck.”

Laura also took to her Stories on Saturday to share a series of snaps of herself enjoying the views of the popular tourist spot.

In one shot, Laura cut a sporty figure in an oversized grey T-shirt and black cycling shorts as she had the time of her life on a coastal walk around Noosa.

She also showed off her incredible figure in a blue two-piece suit as she hit the beach with her friend to enjoy the winter sunshine in another image.

Laura currently resides in North Bondi, but she and Matty are considering moving to the New South Wales south coast after spending $2 million on an abandoned house in the area.

The couple, who met on The Bachelor in 2017, have expanded their multi-million dollar property portfolio with the home in Ulladulla, about 230 kilometres south of Sydney.

The house in ruins has special meaning for the couple as it is close to Cupitts Estate Winery, where Laura and Matt tied the knot in November 2022.

The cliff-top home has panoramic ocean views and is appropriately named Chante-Mer, which means “singing the sea” in French.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom property is spread over two levels and last sold in 1984 for $62,500.

The historic residence formerly Belonged to a United Nations The translator, who died in 2021, and Laura and Matt paid $2.19 million for the notebook, according to the The Telegraph newspaper.

The abandoned house has an area of 746 square meters and is surrounded by large windows that offer panoramic views of the Hipódromo beach.

The couple plan to completely renovate the “old beauty” to bring it back to its former standard and confirmed the exciting news in a post shared on Instagram this week.

“A couple of months ago we bought an old, run-down house on the south coast. A little glass house by the sea full of stories and history that had been closed up and empty for the past two years,” they wrote in the caption.

‘The South Coast is a magical place for us, it’s where we got married and now it’s where we’ll make memories as a family.’

They’ve created an Instagram page where they plan to keep their fans updated on the massive renovation project every step of the way.

They have already shared photos of their daughters Marlie-Mae, five, and Lola, three, visiting their future “dream home”.

They also have a stunning $1.8 million holiday home in Bangalow, near Byron Bay.

After getting engaged in Fiji in April 2018, Laura and Matty finally tied the knot on the south coast in November 2022, five years after meeting on The Bachelor.

They are one of the most successful couples on the show and welcomed daughter Marlie-Mae in 2019, followed by Lola in February 2021.
