Elon Musk’s ex Grimes has insisted the billionaire businessman did not abandon her and has confirmed she has been reunited with at least one of his three children.
Last month, the 36-year-old singer, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, spoke out about Musk, 53, and claimed he wouldn’t let her see his children.
The former couple shares two sons, X Æ A-Xii and Techno Mechanicus, as well as a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl.
Grimes and Musk were together for four years before splitting in 2022, and she now claims that she was the one who decided to end their relationship.
The Canadian singer made the comments on X, formerly Twitter, in response to a post by Azealia Banks, who accused her of being “deceived” and “abandoned” by Musk.
Their war of words began when Grimes responded to a photoshopped image of her and Banks as Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked, writing, “I hate to say it, but it would have been a bit lit.”

Grimes made the comments in response to a post on X by Azealia Banks, who accused her of being “deceived” and “abandoned” by Musk.
He also confirmed that he has been reunited with at least one of her three children after previously claiming he would not let her see them.
However, Banks was clearly unimpressed with the post and responded: ‘@Grimezsz girl the way you’re still trying to put up with some weird and innocent nonsense years later after you got dumped and your kids were cheated on. kidnapped and still trying to paint me as the villain and act like you’re above me.
‘You can really stop mentioning me. I know you wish you could be my best friend, but bitch… it’s so fucking boring. Let it go,’ he added.
Grimes responded to his post and said: ‘Just a funny joke bro. I’m not trying to paint you as a villain. They didn’t “leave” me. Rebound.
‘My amazing baby is sleeping in my bed next to me, I’m in love. I don’t regret it. Life is as beautiful as you want it to be.
‘You have an incredible talent. Even after all this, I want you to win. God bless her (my lady),’ he added.

The two women have been clashing since 2018, when they first became embroiled in a very public feud.
Last month, Grimes (pictured here in September 2023) claimed that Musk wouldn’t let her see her three children.

Banks made headlines in August of that year after claiming that Grimes had invited her to Musk’s Los Angeles estate so Banks could collaborate on music.
But Banks compared her stay at his house to the horror movie Get Out in a scathing Instagram post.
The rapper alleged via his Stories that Grimes spent the weekend consoling Musk, who had tweeted at the time about his desire to take his Tesla company private for $420 per share.
Banks claimed that Musk regretted the tweet because he had yet to secure financing to take the company private.
He also made accusations linking the mogul to drug use, including marijuana. Musk denied having met Banks, according to the guardian.
A few years later, in 2021, Grimes reignited the feud when she announced that her then-new song, 100% Tragedy was ‘about having to defeat Azealia Banks when she tried to destroy my life.
Banks responded by saying, “Grimes definitely has some psychosexual obsession with me.” I think it’s bitterness because she doesn’t have the musical ability that I have.
“Everything she does is out of pretension and comes off like that… while everything I do is out of genius and effortless style.”
After his separation from Gimes, Musk filed a lawsuit for custody of his children in Texas, where his company is based.
Grimes then countersued by filing a “petition to establish a parental relationship” in a California court, which is generally considered the first step in suing for custody of unmarried parents.
She claimed that Musk was denying access to her children and even prevented them from seeing their terminally ill maternal grandmother.
A Travis County clerk confirmed that the Texas dispute had been resolved but declined to provide further details.
