A man who went missing while swimming in a lake has been found dead after an extensive search.
The 25-year-old from Lancefield had gone swimming with a woman and two dogs at Lake Eppalock, a 90-minute drive north of Melbourne, about 7.45pm on Wednesday night.
It is understood the man began to have difficulty swimming and disappeared underwater.
The woman contacted police shortly after and an extensive search for the man was launched, but was called off that same night.
Search and Rescue divers returned to the water Thursday morning, where they sadly found the man’s body.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
The body of a man who drowned in Lake Eppalock (pictured) in Victoria was found a day after he went swimming with a woman and two dogs.
