Cancer patient Ninette Simons, 73, is still bruised by the shocking home invasion carried out by three men who posed as police officers when they knocked on the door of her home in Girrawheenon, north of Perth, the afternoon of April 16.

But now he is speaking out bravely and asking for help to find the attackers, none of whom have been caught yet.

“I’m very scared, I’m not the same person I used to be, I can barely stand or walk,” she said. 9News.

The men who carried out the dastardly assault claimed they were police officers and told Ms Simons’ husband, Philip, that they had a warrant to search his house “for stolen gold.”

The men who carried out the cowardly and savage assault said they were police officers and told Ms Simons’ husband Philip (pictured) that they had a warrant to search his house “for stolen gold”.

Simons, 76, opened the door to the men around 7pm and half an hour of terror ensued.

“The moment they walked in, a guy grabbed me,” he said.

“They told me, ‘Get on your knees,’ they threw me to the ground, jumped on my back, grabbed the rope from the amplifier and tied me to the ground.”

They then began attacking Mrs Simons.

“The next minute, the second guy who had a mask on his face hit me and said, ‘Don’t scream,’ and he just hit me, which lasted a good half hour,” he said.

“I said, ‘What are you doing? Please, you’re hurting me. You’re going to kill me, I’m 73 years old, I’m a cancer patient.'”

But the heartless thieves did not stop. They tore jewelry from her body and then broke into the couple’s safe.

“There was blood coming out of my mouth, blood coming out of my nose and I blacked out, I was unconscious for a minute or two. I thought I was dying, I don’t know how I survived this,” Mrs Simons said.

One of the attackers told the couple: ‘If you go to the police, we are from the area, we will come back to finish you off.’

The Simons are too afraid to return to their home of 45 years, which is 14 kilometers north of Perth’s CBD.

WA Police believe it was a specifically targeted attack as the invaders made off with jewelery worth almost $200,000, which was the elderly couple’s life savings.

Ms. Simons shared an important message in lieu of the attack.

“I just want to ask the public to help the police catch them, so we can all feel safe again, please help,” Mrs Simons said.
