Kmart Australia has launched a stylish mint green teapot and matching toaster that look almost identical to high-end alternatives worth hundreds of dollars.
The $29 ‘retro’ electrical products feature a ribbed design and will add a touch of elegance to any kitchen.
The two-slice toaster is now sold out in selected stores, while the 1.7-litre kettle is still available everywhere.
The latest purchases look like Smeg’s popular $199 pastel green 1950s-style teapot and $249 toaster.
Both the Smeg and Kmart kettles have similar features, including a 1.7-litre capacity jug, 360-degree rotation, automatic and manual shut-off, and a stainless steel heating element.

Other Kmart design features include overheat protection and a 12-month warranty.
The Smeg and Kmart toasters are also designed with similar features, but the high-end version has six toasting levels.
In 2021, Kmart sold the “euro” kettle which shoppers described as a “fantastic” product that “works perfectly.”

‘I love the color, also the quick boil and it’s not so noisy. Very trendy, fits my kitchen,” wrote one fan.
Another said: ‘This teapot is stunning! So elegant. It works perfectly. I love the blue light on the side. The color is beautiful. Highly recommended.’
Earlier this month, the department store quietly launched microwavable heated blankets and slippers in-store.
